Four steps, one of which is the right next one for your house. The tool asks what a camera has actually shown, because until something has been down the pipe every other answer is a guess with a price attached — and it says so rather than picking one anyway.
What you enter
- What a camera inspection found, if there has been one
- Whether the drain has been flushed before
- Whether a machine can reach the trench
- What is over the trench: grass, paving, a driveway
How it is calculated
- Deterministic rules written out in the cartridge engine; no model and no score
- Without a camera result it returns “get it scoped” regardless of every other answer
- Access and reinstatement are reported separately from the work, because they are what makes two quotes for the same pipe differ
What it is not
- It cannot tell you what a camera would find. It tells you what to do with what one found.
